Algeria is the third largest importer of printing and paper technology in Africa.

Investment in technology to boost local production, export and replace imports.

In the printing and paper technology sector, demand in Algeria remains at a consistently high level. Imports in this sector rose from € 57 million in 2016 to € 95 million in 2023, making Algeria the third largest importer of printing and paper technology in Africa, surpassed only by South Africa and Egypt.

When it comes to packaging technology imports, with €161m in 2023, Algeria is the second largest importer in Africa, ahead of Egypt (€145m) and after South Africa (€194m). (VDMA)

Along with increasing industrialisation and a rapidly growing population, the Algerian printing & packaging industry is growing strongly.

Algerian Participation

.printpack & plast alger  is proud to host major governmental institutions and market leaders from Algeria's plastics, printing, and packaging industries

Austria Pavilion

The Austrian Pavilion receives strong support from ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Algeria, the commercial section of the Austrian Embassy in Algiers.

 

China Pavilion

A significant number of more than  a hundred Chinese exhibitors are once again expected for the event, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and technologies.

 

French Participation

Renowned French market leaders showcase their products through individual corporate stands. Additionally, the Algerian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry CCIAF provides crucial support for the French contingent.

German Pavilion

For the 2025 event, Germany will once again be officially represented with its own German Pavilion. The German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, along with the German Trade Fair Association AUMA and the VDMA Plastics and Rubber Machinery, provide full support for the Pavilion.

 

India Pavilion

printpack & plast alger eagerly anticipate a strong participation from India, as industry players from the country will showcase their latest products and solutions.

 

Italy Pavilion

The Italian Trade Agency ITA collaborates with trade associations ACIMGA and AMAPLAST to ensure a prominent Italian presence.

 

Türkiye Pavilion

The Turkish Pavilion is all set to make a significant impact, thanks to the strong support from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade.

Sabine Geldermann, Director drupa and Global Head Print Technologies with Messe Duesseldorf points out: “According to the German Engineering Association VDMA, Algeria’s imports in this sector in 2023 amounted to €95 million, up from €57m in 2016.  This makes Algeria the third largest importer of printing and paper technology in Africa, surpassed only by South Africa and Egypt.”
