Great success: The first printpack expo 08 in Algeria closes on a very positive note

printpack expo 09 from 2-5 June in Casablanca and from 2-5 November in Algiers

Exhibitors were all smiles after four successful days with some 2,500 visitors of the trade. The first edition of printpack expo in Algeria was the place to be for all professionals of the industry.

Held at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers from 02 to 05 of November 2008, Algeria’s Premier International Printing and Packaging Technology Exhibition saw the presence of major exhibitors, conference speakers and professional visitors.

An excellent media coverage of the event proved the importance of printpack expo 08 for the Algerian market. In 2009, fairtrade will organise two printpack expo’s, both in Algeria and in Morocco. printpack expo maroc 09 will be held at the Casablanca International Fairgrounds from 2 to 5 June 2009.

At printpack expo 08, 30 Algerian and international leaders from 13 countries displayed their technologies and innovative solutions at printpack expo 08 in Algiers. The exhibitors come from Algeria, Austria, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates

From Italy for instance, CMC Italia – since more than 70 years one of the leading manufacturers of paper-over-board and bookbinding machines – displayed their machinery on a stand of 99 square meters.

Other leaders exhibiting included such well known brands as Afra Printing Equipment, Bobst Group, Comptoir Tunisien des Papiers, Cincinnati Extrusion, EMBAG, Frabelux, Global Printing & Packaging Solutions, Guangdong Liansu Machinery, HEC/Saga, I.E.C.O., Ink Italy, Multigraphics, Nadatek/Domino, Ollagnier/SEDPI, SIMONA, Taejin Machinery, Tinius Olsen, Toutin Service,  Unicor and Zenith Rubber Rollers.

Alongside the exhibition, Stora Enso held a corporate technical presentation on the 3rd exhibition day, with a participation of a professional audience of 60 persons from all over Algeria. Stora Enso plays a major role in the Algerian market for products ranging from wood products to liquid packaging board and paper for multi colour printing as well as extensive services and business concepts.

The printing and packaging sector in Algeria enjoys a level of growth unlike no other North-African country. The current boom related to consumer and household goods, packaging and food and drinks production, contributes to the huge increase in demand for the Algerian printing and packaging industry.
